Good old Mr. Potter is a pretty big thing, and about to become a bigger one in Southern California. That’s right: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood!

Downtown Burbank has long been known for its exceptionally warm temperatures during fall, making it hard to believe that going ice skating outdoors is actually a possibility. Fortunately, though, in just a few short weeks, the Rink in Downtown Burbank is going to be reopened. Those who have used the rink in years past have always given it high levels of praise. Merchants and restaurants located in downtown Burbank also benefit from the rink because it increases traffic in the area.

Universal Studios Hollywood opens its doors to the public for one of the most amazing Halloween celebrations in Los Angeles. And guess what? It’s all live. You won’t be watching the zombies do their horrifying shuffle toward you on the silver screen – they’ll be on the very street where you stand.

It’s that time of year again. The Turkey Trot 2015 is right around the corner, and there’s never been a better time to join in on all of the fun. When running in the 5K/10K Turkey Trot, you’ll be joining elite runners, costumed revelers, casual joggers, and many other Turkey Trot enthusiasts. Well known as a family-friendly holiday tradition, all funds received during the Turkey Trot are handed over to the Burbank Community YMCA, which helps keep all programs up and running.

The OktoBURfest beer festival in downtown Burbank will be sure to rival the annual Bavarian traditional festival held in Germany. With more than 45 breweries and three biergartens, there will be no reason to fly to Europe for an authentic Oktoberfest experience.

Out of the many great things to do around the hotel, one of the most interesting is the yearly Burbank International Film Festival, which takes place from September 9th through September 13th. The atmosphere of the festival is electric. You’ve got industry people trying to make deals and wannabe filmmakers and performers trying to impress. You’ve got established stars and young starlets. And of course, there are so many beautiful people moving about and the throngs of photographers snapping away.
