Halloween Horror Nights

Universal Halloween Horror Nights 2015

What could be better than creepy crawlers, ghouls, zombies, and vampires from the studio that makes them for the world to see on film? Universal Studios Hollywood opens its doors to the public for one of the most amazing Halloween celebrations in Los Angeles. And guess what? It’s all live. You won’t be watching the zombies do their horrifying shuffle toward you on the silver screen – they’ll be on the very street where you stand.

The experience is nothing short of intense. What scares you? Did Insidious make you afraid of the dark? Does a swarm of zombies a la The Walking Dead make you tremble? Do you wake up in a cold sweat because you are afraid of being caught I the middle of the epic battle between Alien vs. Predator? The hottest and scariest of Halloween icons are on set to scare you.

Here are some of the things you can do:

  • Survive The Purge experience on a Universal backlot
Watch a new dynamic routine by the Jabbawockeez of America’s Best Dance Crew fame
Take a ride on the Terror Tram
Make your way through mazes with scares at every turn
Get up close and personal with the icon of Halloween, Michael Myers

This event goes beyond your amusement park haunted house. It takes the horror characters that scare you from the movie screen and puts them in front of you to say hello.

There are also indoor roller coasters and death drops galore. Take your chances on the Transformers 3D ride and fight alongside Optimus Prime or try to survive the Jurassic Park ride. Don’t worry if you scream. Everyone else will too.

Do you think you can handle it?

Universal Halloween Horror Nights runs through November 1st so there is ample time to get your scream on. This is a physical event so be sure you are wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Costumes are not allowed so as temped as you may be to join the cast of walkers trailing you in The Walking Dead maze, don’t do it. This event is for mature audiences so bear that in mind when considering bringing children under 13. The show goes on rain or shine.
