Best Hotel for Halloween Events in Burbank, CA
Join us at Hotel Amarano for a Southern California-style Halloween this year, and when you’re not soaking in our 4 Diamond boutique luxury you can be gallivanting about scaring yourself silly courtesy of our greater backyard’s rich array of holiday happenings.
Let’s take a look at a few of the Halloween events you’ll have access to as a pampered guest of ours here in downtown Burbank. This small sampling of what’s on tap includes both adult-oriented and kid-friendly attractions.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios (100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA)
With a room or suite at Hotel Amarano, you’ll also be within shouting distance of one of the most acclaimed haunted attractions in Southern California: Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. This year’s event includes no fewer than 10 terrifying mazes, including Creepshow, House of 1000 Corpses, and new scare zones inspired by Stranger Things and Jordan Peele’s Us.
Los Angeles Haunted Hayride (4730 Crystal Springs Ave, Los Angeles, CA)
Definitely not on the kid-friendly side of things—at least, not suitable for those 12 years old or younger—the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park immerses its brave visitors in the ghastly community of Midnight Falls, host to such realms as Town Square, Midnight Mortuary, Roadkill Ranch, and the Haunted Hayride itself.
Besides those ghoul-infested zones, the Haunted Hayride layout includes some challenging Mini Escape Rooms as well.
It’s yours to explore—with some steely nerves—on select dates from October 4th through November 2nd.
Boo at the L.A. Zoo (5333 Zoo Drive, Los Angeles, CA)
A decidedly more all-ages affair awaits you at the L.A. Zoo’s annual Halloween celebration. Boo at the L.A. Zoo takes place October weekends from 10 AM to 4 PM, with trick-or-treating days on October 19th, 20th, and 27th. Watch Halloween-worthy animal feedings—pumpkins for gorillas, elephants, and other plant-eaters, meat and bones for the carnivorous denizens—and enjoy a host of Halloween animal shows, games, and activities. It’s all free with your general zoo admission!
Haunted Adventure (2300 Walnut Ave, Burbank, CA)
The City of Burbank’s got its own top-grade Halloween offering in the form of Haunted Adventure, which takes place this year on October 11th, 12th, and 18th. The center of the action is Stough Canyon Park, which’ll host a Halloween carnival with games and food trucks, while the main attraction is the Haunted Maze: a freaky labyrinth well populated by various terrors. Heads up: the maze isn’t open to kids six years old or younger.
