A Hidden Gem Amongst Burbank’s Local Attractions
Information on things to do in the Burbank area is readily available online, but what about finding out about those no-so-advertised attractions. You know, the things only the “locals” know about. Well, if you’re into music, then you’ll enjoy this hidden gem. Opened in October of last year, the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, California is a hidden gem of local attractions.
The space is used for live concerts, but is also rented for movie screenings, TV broadcasts and music rehearsals. Because of the intimate setting – only 450 seats – concerts here aren’t generally advertised to the general public; without knowing about the theater itself, you’d probably never hear about some of the concerts here before they happened.
You’d be mistaken if you thought that such a small venue surely doesn’t attract big names in music. The theater opened on October 22 of last year with a performance by Katy Perry who had just released her album #PRISM. And the new concert venue hasn’t had any problems booking other well-known talent since then. In June 2014, guests saw performers like Queen, Linkin Park and Ed Sheeran. Just the month before in May, guests saw Coldplay. Though nothing has been announced yet for their upcoming fall lineup, prepare for a huge anniversary party at the theater in October. If you want to see a show here – your best bet is to keep tabs on the venue through their Facebook page.
The iHeart Radio Theater is just one of many attractions to see here in the entertainment capital of the world. And whether you’re visiting NBC Studios, Paramount Pictures, ABC Studios, DreamWorks Animation Studios, Capitol Records or The iHeartRadio Theater, one of the most convenient and luxurious hotels in the area is right here at Hotel Amarano. Our guests enjoy things like a saltwater pool and poolside cabanas, and at the end of the day our friendly staff will do everything they can to make your visit as special as possible.
