Hotel near Best Breweries in Burbank, CA
California’s one of the global epicenters of the modern craft-beer industry, and as a guest of ours here at Hotel Amarano you’ve got some fine Burbank expressions of that industry near to hand. Thirsty? Here’s where to wet your whistle and experience firsthand the diversity and quality of local microbrews.
Lincoln Beer Co. (3083 N. Lima St.)
This young, family-owned and operated brewery opened its taproom last autumn: a cheery destination for beer lovers, given better than dozen brews on regular rotation and food trucks on hand for tasty eats. Tasters, flights, and pints are available in the Lincoln Beer Co. taproom; if you so choose, you can also order a crowler or growler to go. Among the standouts here? Certainly Anytime Fiesta, a Habanero Vanilla Red, plus the Wrestler Hazy IPA and Something Simple Cream Ale.
The taproom’s open weekdays from 5 to 10 PM, Saturdays from noon to 10 PM, and Sundays from noon to 8 PM.
Verdugo West Brewing Co. (156 W. Verdugo Ave)
“We let the beer do the talking,” they say at Verdugo West Brewing Co. With perfectly crafted brews such as Gigil (a pilsner made with puffed Jasmine rice), Street Lights Are On (a Belgian-style Saison aged in wine barrels), and Rancho Los Felis (a sour blonde boosted with purple Italian plums), that mantra’s beautifully borne out.
The Verdugo West Brewing taproom is open 4 to 10 PM Monday through Thursday, noon to 11 PM Friday and Saturday, and noon to 8 PM on Sunday. In addition to a variety of beers, you can also enjoy burgers, fries, and pizza.
Henson Brewing Co. (2121 Kenmere Ave)
This brand-new brewery’s still in its soft-opening phase, so come be among the first to discover its topnotch beers! Those include such winners as the Double Blackjack porter, the Don’t Call Me Hay-Z IPA, and the My Lucky Linda American pale ale.
Gordon Biersch of Burbank (145 S. San Fernando Blvd.)
Plenty of Bavarian and Bohemian spirit informs Gordon Biersch of Burbank, which specializes in German-style beers. The most popular offering is its Märzen, an easy-drinking malty lager. There’s plenty of good grub to go along with the good beer, from cheese curds and sweet potato fries to the signature Bavarian pretzel and sausage.
Gordon Biersch of Burbank serves its delicious stuff from 10:24 AM to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and from 10:24 AM to 1 AM on Friday and Saturday.
Great beer awaits you on your next visit to Burbank, CA and Hotel Amarano!
